Role Description
Applicants must be contractors capable of doing the entire installation. We are looking for multiple Solar installation team members who will work on-site UK wide on a contract basis, installing residential and SME solar PV systems, battery energy storage systems, and hybrid inverter solutions.

- Reviewing technical designs and documentation
- Preparing sites for installation
- Mounting and wiring solar panels, inverters, and batteries
- Ensuring all work complies with relevant standards and company procedures
Team members will conduct pre-installation checks, perform testing and commissioning of systems, and complete installation reports and handover documentation. The role involves close coordination with project managers, surveyors, and compliance staff, maintaining a safe working environment, and consistently delivering first-time fit installations. The team will also troubleshoot installation issues on-site and support ongoing improvements to installation processes and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Practical experience in installing solar PV systems, battery storage, and hybrid inverter setups, with strong competence in electrical and mechanical installation tasks.
- Working knowledge of relevant UK electrical and building regulations (e.g., BS 7671), health and safety standards, and best practices for rooftop and ground-mounted systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation specifications, with strong attention to detail in compliance and documentation.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools, access equipment, and test instruments (e.g., multimeters, insulation testers) safely and effectively.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate with engineers, surveyors, project managers, and clients on-site.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality, first-time fit delivery, and structured work processes, including accurate reporting and record keeping.
- Full UK driving license and willingness to work outdoors at height and in varying weather conditions.
- Relevant trade or technical qualification (e.g., NVQ in Electrical Installation, City & Guilds, or equivalent); solar-specific training or accreditation is highly beneficial.
