The Opportunity

Birchwell Associates is supporting a growing renewable energy business in the search for a Solar Project Manager. This role will take responsibility for delivering solar PV projects safely, efficiently and to a high technical standard.

You will coordinate clients, designers, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers from pre-construction through installation, commissioning and handover.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Manage solar projects from planning and mobilisation through installation and handover.
  • Coordinate programmes, labour, subcontractors, suppliers and site logistics.
  • Track budgets, progress, risks, variations and delivery milestones.
  • Maintain strong standards of health and safety, quality and technical compliance.
  • Provide clear communication to clients, internal teams and project stakeholders.
  • Complete project documentation, commissioning coordination and final handover packs.

What We Are Looking For

  • Commercial experience managing solar, electrical, construction or renewable-energy projects.
  • Strong understanding of project planning, site delivery and subcontractor coordination.
  • Knowledge of solar PV systems and associated electrical installation work.
  • Experience managing budgets, programmes, risks and client expectations.
  • Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across South West England.
