Solar PV & Battery Storage Electrician
We are seeking an experienced Solar PV & Battery Storage Electrician to install, test and commission Solar PV and battery storage systems while ensuring compliance with MCS requirements and electrical standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, test and commission Solar PV and battery storage systems.
- Carry out AC/DC wiring, termination, earthing and protection.
- Perform electrical testing, commissioning and fault finding.
- Ensure compliance with BS 7671, MIS 3002, MIS 3012, G98/G99 and manufacturer requirements.
- Complete installation and commissioning documentation.
- Follow all health & safety procedures.
- Work independently and as part of an installation team.

Must Have
- Level 3 Electrical/Electrotechnical qualification or equivalent.
- Solar PV qualification/competence – MIS 3002.
- Battery Storage/EESS qualification/competence – MIS 3012.
- Minimum 3 years' electrical installation experience.
- Proven Solar PV and battery installation experience.
- Electrical testing, commissioning and fault-finding skills.
- Good knowledge of BS 7671, G98/G99.
- Competent with electrical testing equipment and hand tools.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Good written and spoken English.

Recommended
- Level 3 Electrotechnical Experienced Worker Qualification.
- Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installation (Buildings and Structures).
- NICEIC/NAPIT/ECA experience.
- Previous experience with an MCS-certified contractor.
- Experience with multiple solar inverter and battery manufacturers.
