Description
We're looking for a motivated and commercially minded Solar PV Commercial Sales Advisor to join our growing Mole Energy team.

You'll be part of a collaborative and innovative team, helping customers navigate their renewable energy journey from initial consultation through to the delivery of a tailored solar solution. This role offers autonomy, variety, and the opportunity to play a key role in the continued growth of Mole Energy.
About The Role
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full-time
Hours of Work: 40 Hours per week, working Monday to Friday
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum, with uncapped On-Target Earnings (OTE) of £70,000 - £80,000
As a Solar PV Commercial Sales Advisor, you'll take ownership of the entire customer journey, working closely with farming and commercial businesses from initial enquiry through to solution design, quotation, order conversion and handover to installation teams.
Taking a consultative approach, you'll spend time understanding each customer's business, energy requirements and future goals before recommending tailored solar solutions that deliver both commercial and environmental benefits. You'll conduct site visits, gather information to support system design, work alongside technical specialists to develop proposals, and act as a trusted advisor throughout the decision-making process.

This is far more than a lead generation role. We're looking for someone who enjoys building long-term customer relationships, providing expert advice, and taking ownership of opportunities from first conversation through to successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Managing customer opportunities from initial enquiry through to quotation, order conversion and installation handover.
- Developing new business opportunities within the agricultural and commercial sectors.
- Conducting on-site visits to assess suitability for solar installations.
- Understanding customer needs and recommending tailored renewable energy solutions.
- Working closely with internal technical teams to develop proposals and quotations.
- Building and maintaining strong customer relationships across your territory.
- Managing a healthy pipeline of opportunities and maintaining accurate CRM records.
- Achieving sales targets through proactive business development and excellent customer service.
- Working collaboratively with operations and installation teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Identifying cross-selling opportunities across the wider Mole Valley Farmers network.

About You
- Proven experience in a sales, business development, account management, or customer advisory role.
- Experience within agriculture, farming, rural businesses, or a related sector would be highly advantageous.
- Experience selling technical, solution-based products or services.
- Strong commercial awareness and a consultative approach to selling.
- Knowledge of Solar PV, renewable energy, or related technologies is desirable, although training can be provided.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Able to explain technical concepts in a clear and practical way.
- Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable managing a varied workload.
- Confident working independently across a rural territory.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly to customer sites.
