Our client is a well-established and rapidly growing Solar PV company based in Leeds, delivering high-quality renewable energy solutions throughout the UK. With an excellent reputation within the renewable energy sector, they undertake a wide variety of projects ranging from domestic installations to large-scale commercial and industrial systems.

Due to continued growth and an increasing workload, they are looking to recruit an experienced Solar PV Electrician to join their expanding team.

The Role

As a Solar PV Electrician, you will be responsible for the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of Solar PV systems across a diverse portfolio of projects. Working nationwide, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality renewable energy solutions for residential, commercial, agricultural, and industrial clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installation, testing, and commissioning of Solar PV systems.
  • Installation and connection of inverters, battery storage systems, and associated electrical equipment.
  • Working on domestic, commercial, agricultural, and industrial projects.
  • Conducting fault finding, inspection, and remedial works where required.
  • Ensuring all installations comply with current electrical regulations and health and safety requirements.
  • Completing relevant certification and documentation.
  • Working closely with roofing teams, project managers, and other installation engineers.
  • Maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer service.
  • Travelling nationwide and staying away from home when required.

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
  • City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing qualification preferred.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
  • Previous experience installing Solar PV systems is essential.
  • Experience with battery storage systems is advantageous.
  • ECS Gold Card preferred.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A commitment to quality, safety, and excellent customer service.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the UK and stay away when required.
