Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 DOE

Location: Kent & South East

Hours: Monday to Friday

Our client is a well-established and growing renewable energy business specialising in the design, installation and maintenance of solar PV systems across the Kent and South east region. Working across both domestic and commercial projects, they have built a strong reputation for high-quality workmanship, technical expertise and excellent customer service.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Solar PV Electrician to join their growing direct delivery team. This is a hands-on role covering solar PV, battery storage and EV charging installations, alongside servicing, maintenance and fault-finding.

Solar PV Electrician - Position Overview

  • Install and commission solar PV systems, battery storage systems and EV charging equipment.
  • Carry out servicing, maintenance, fault-finding and repairs on existing solar PV systems.
  • Complete electrical testing, commissioning and associated certification in line with current regulations and manufacturer requirements.
  • Work closely with roofers and site teams to ensure installations are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Ensure all works comply with BS 7671, relevant regulations, manufacturer guidelines and company standards.
  • Complete RAMS, handover documentation, testing records and other site paperwork accurately.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues on site, providing effective fault-finding and problem-solving.
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety across all sites and ensure company procedures are followed.
  • Represent the company professionally when working directly with customers and clients.

Solar PV Electrician - Position Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
  • Proven experience within electrical installation.
  • Previous experience working with Solar PV systems is highly desirable.
  • Experience with battery storage and/or EV charging systems would be advantageous.
  • Confident carrying out electrical testing, fault-finding and commissioning.
  • Good understanding of current electrical regulations and safe working practices.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
  • Professional and customer-focused approach when working on customer sites.
  • Comfortable working across a variety of domestic and commercial properties.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • A genuine interest in renewable energy and willingness to undertake further training and development.
