Company: Green Flare Ltd - Trusted renewable energy experts in the South West.
Location: CLEVEDON, Bristol, South West of England.
On-site work, mainly local and typically within a 50-mile radius of BS21.
Salary: Competitive, depending on qualifications and experience - 32-42K.
Work pattern: Monday - Friday: 08:00 – 16:00

About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Solar Roofer to join our growing installation team and play a key role in delivering high-quality solar PV systems. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who takes pride in their workmanship and is ready to step into a senior position, supporting others on-site while still being actively involved in installations. You’ll be the go-to person for roofing expertise, ensuring installations are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
What You’ll Be Doing
Installation Excellence
- Install solar PV mounting systems on pitched and flat roofs
- Carry out advanced roofing work (tiling, flashing, sealing, weatherproofing)
- Ensure all work maintains roof integrity and compliance
- Take ownership of more complex or bespoke installations

Technical Support
- Support the Lead Installer with on-site technical decisions
- Identify and resolve installation or roofing challenges
- Ensure installations match design specifications
Quality Assurance
- Maintain exceptional standards across all installations
- Identify and fix issues before they become defects
- Support final checks before project handover
Mentoring & Team Support
- Guide and support junior installers
- Demonstrate best practices in installation and safety
- Help improve team efficiency and performance
HEALTH & SAFETY
- Work safely at height and follow all H&S procedures
- Proactively identify and report risks
- Support a safe and organised working environment

About You

- 5+ years’ experience in roofing or solar PV installation
- Strong knowledge of roofing systems and weatherproofing
- Experience installing solar PV systems (preferred)
- High attention to detail and pride in your work
- Confident supporting and guiding others on-site
- Comfortable working at height and outdoors
- CSCS card (preferred)
- Full UK driving licence
