Solar Thermal Engineer Required for Rayotec Ltd (Subcontract)

Established in 1987, Rayotec specialises in the maintenance of solar thermal and solar PV systems for domestic and commercial clients. With MCS accreditation and decades of industry experience, we have built a strong reputation within the renewable energy sector and continue to see growing demand for our services.

We are currently seeking an experienced subcontract Solar Thermal Engineer to support our team on a part-time basis (1–2 days per week).

Role Overview:

You will be responsible for the maintenance and servicing of solar thermal systems across Surrey, Sussex, Kent, Berkshire, and Hampshire. This is a flexible subcontract role, ideal for an experienced engineer looking for consistent, part-time work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Servicing and maintenance of solar thermal systems
  • Fault finding and diagnostics
  • Ensuring all work is carried out safely and to a high standard
  • Providing clear feedback and reporting where required

The Solar Installer must have a proven background installing/maintaining solar systems.

Position Requirements:

  • C&G Energy Efficiency
  • Water Regulations
  • Level 2 plumbing or heating systems
  • Unvented hot water systems
  • BPEC qualification or equivalent in installation of solar thermal
  • 3 years experience as a renewable engineer
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Own van and tools
