Description
Impact Recruitment are recruiting for a Production Technician to join our client, a specialist manufacturer based in Towcester.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on, detail-oriented individual looking to develop their skills within a technically focused manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will play an important role in the careful assembly, testing and preparation of precision instrumentation, ensuring every product meets the high standards expected by customers.
Salary: £27,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5pm, 37.5 hours per week
Employment: Permanent
Location: Towcester, Northamptonshire
What You'll Be Doing
- Assembling mechanical housings and electronic components.
- Carrying out soldering as part of the assembly process.
- Using hand tools and equipment to support production activities.
- Maintaining accurate production records and recording test results.
- Packing finished equipment ready for distribution.
- Working closely and communicating effectively with colleagues throughout the production process.
- Ensuring all products are assembled carefully and to the required quality standards.

What We're Looking For
- Previous experience within a production, manufacturing, assembly or technical environment.
- Experience with soldering would be advantageous, although candidates with an interest in learning will be considered.
- Good attention to detail and the ability to work accurately and precisely.
- Comfortable using hand tools and production equipment.
- Basic computer literacy, including email and Excel.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and suppliers.
- Comfortable carrying out repetitive tasks while maintaining a high level of care and accuracy.
- A practical, hands-on approach and a genuine interest in developing technical skills.
