About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial, Technology, Intellectual Property and/or Data Protection Solicitor to join our growing team.
This role is ideal for a Solicitor with ideally 3 to 5 years' post-qualification experience who is looking to take the next step in their career within a collaborative and ambitious law firm.
You will work with a broad range of clients, from innovative start-ups and fast-growing businesses to established national and international organisations, advising on a wide variety of commercial, technology, intellectual property and data protection matters. The work is varied, intellectually stimulating and commercially focused, providing an excellent platform to develop both your technical expertise and your client relationships.
Working alongside experienced specialists across our offices, you will enjoy early responsibility, direct client exposure and the opportunity to play an active role in helping clients achieve their commercial objectives. You will be encouraged to develop your own profile, build trusted relationships and contribute to business development initiatives, while benefiting from the support, mentoring and opportunities that come with being part of an established and highly regarded national practice.
This role can be based in any of our Leicester, Northampton, Milton Keynes or Oxford offices, with flexible hybrid working and the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues and clients across our wider office network.
Some of your duties will include:
- Advising clients on a broad range of commercial contracts, technology agreements, intellectual property matters and data protection issues.
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of commercial and technology-related documentation.
- Managing your own matters and supporting senior colleagues on larger and more complex transactions and projects.
- Building strong and lasting relationships with clients and becoming a trusted adviser.
- Providing clear, pragmatic and commercially focused advice tailored to clients' objectives.
- Working closely with colleagues across practice areas and offices to deliver seamless client service.
- Supporting business development activities, networking events, client seminars and marketing initiatives.
- Developing expertise in key sectors and identifying opportunities to add value to clients.
- Contributing to knowledge sharing and helping foster a positive and collaborative team culture.
- Maintaining high professional and regulatory standards and complying with the firm's risk management procedures.

You will:
- Be a qualified solicitor with approximately 3 to 5 years' post-qualification experience in commercial contracts, technology, intellectual property and/or data protection matters.
- Have strong technical skills and a genuine interest in delivering commercially focused legal advice.
- Be confident communicating with clients and colleagues at all levels.
- Demonstrate sound commercial awareness and an understanding of clients' business needs.
- Enjoy building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Have a genuine interest in business development and raising your professional profile.
- Be proactive, organised and motivated to take ownership of your work.
- Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a cross-office team.
- Have excellent drafting, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Be enthusiastic about developing your career within a supportive and ambitious firm.
