Private Client Solicitor / Associate (Wills, Trusts & Probate) – Nationwide UK (Hybrid & Remote)

Location: Nationwide, UK (London, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds, or Full/Hybrid Remote)

About the Opportunity

Arevna Partners is working alongside a portfolio of leading UK law firms ranging from Legal 500 & Chambers-ranked regional heavyweights to prominent national practices and specialist private client boutiques seeking dedicated Private Client Solicitors to join established teams across the UK.

Whether you are looking to advance your career toward Head of Department, seeking a collegiate firm with manageable billing targets, or targeting modern hybrid and full-remote arrangements, our clients have live requirements across multiple UK locations.

Practice Areas Covered

Our clients handle a broad spectrum of private client matters, with openings for practitioners experienced in:

  • Estate Planning & Will Drafting: Advising high-net-worth (HNW) individuals, business owners, and families on simple to complex testamentary planning, asset protection, and succession strategies.
  • Probate & Estate Administration: Handling taxable and non-taxable estates, cross-border/multi-jurisdictional assets, letters of administration, and distribution of complex portfolios.
  • Trust Creation & Administration: Setting up discretionary, life interest, and vulnerable beneficiary trusts, including ongoing governance and compliance.
  • Tax Planning: Advising on Inheritance Tax (IHT), Capital Gains Tax (CGT), Business Property Relief (BPR), and Agricultural Property Relief (APR).
  • Elderly Client Matters: Drafting and registering Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs), Court of Protection applications, and statutory will petitions.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience: Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive (FCILEx) with 1 to 8+ years of PQE in a dedicated private client department. (Candidates from junior associate to senior associate/partner-track level are encouraged to apply).
  • Technical Breadth: Strong technical grounding in UK probate procedure, estate administration, and trust governance.
  • Qualifications (Desirable): Full or partial STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) accreditation or SFE (Solicitors for the Elderly) membership is an advantage, but not essential.
  • Client Approach: Empathetic, commercially minded, and capable of managing client relationships with clarity and sensitivity.
