PRIVATE CLIENT SENIOR ASSOCIATE / LEGAL DIRECTOR | BIRMINGHAM | £75,000–£110,000

I’m currently working with a Top 20 international law firm that is looking to strengthen its Birmingham Private Client team with the appointment of a Senior Associate / Legal Director.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Private Client lawyer to join a highly regarded team and work directly alongside a senior-level Partner on high-value, complex matters.

You’ll advise a sophisticated client base of high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families and successful business owners, with exposure to some genuinely interesting and complex work.

The Role

You’ll work across a broad range of Private Client and Wealth Planning matters, including:

  • Advising HNW and UHNW individuals, families and business owners
  • Estate planning, succession planning and wealth preservation
  • Complex wills, including those involving trusts and business assets
  • Lasting Powers of Attorney and lifetime planning
  • Complex and high-value estate administration
  • Inheritance Tax planning, CGT considerations and lifetime gifting
  • Establishing, administering and restructuring trusts
  • Family investment and wealth-holding structures
  • Court of Protection and deputyship matters
  • Working alongside HMRC, accountants, tax advisers, trustees and other professional advisers
  • Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
