IN-HOUSE RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY SOLICITOR
Kingston upon Thames area | Salary circa £40,000 to £60,000, or self employed with negotiated retainer plus high commission (DOE) | OTE 60K+ in both cases | Market leading independent agency
The opportunity
A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced Property Solicitor to join a market leading independent agency in an in-house capacity. This role can be structured either as a salaried position or as a self employed arrangement on a retainer with high commission potential, offering genuine flexibility for the right person to structure the role in the way that suits them best.
This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor who wants the variety and commercial exposure of working directly within a thriving agency, rather than in a traditional private practice environment.
The Role
You will provide in-house legal support across the agency's residential property transactions, working closely with the sales team to keep deals progressing smoothly and speedily.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing in-house legal advice and support across residential sales
- Managing conveyancing matters from instruction through to completion
- Liaising closely with agents, clients, lenders and other third parties to keep transactions on track
- Reviewing and drafting contracts, leases and related documentation
- Identifying and managing legal risk across the agency's transactions
- Contributing to the commercial growth of the business through efficient, client focused legal support

About You
- An experienced Residential Conveyancer with a minimum of 1 year PQE
- Comfortable working in a commercial, fast paced agency environment rather than a traditional firm
- Excellent client care and communication skills
- Confident managing your own caseload and priorities independently
- Open to either a salaried or self employed retainer structure
