PRIVATE CLIENT LEGAL DIRECTOR | BIRMINGHAM | £95,000–£110,000 | TOP 20 INTERNATIONAL LAW FIRM
I’m delighted to be working with a Top 20 international law firm that is continuing to grow its Birmingham Private Client offering and is looking to appoint an experienced Private Client Legal Director.
This is a particularly strong opportunity for a senior Private Client lawyer who wants to work at the higher end of the market, advising HNW and UHNW individuals, families and business owners on complex and high-value matters.
You’ll work closely with a highly regarded Partner and have genuine exposure to sophisticated clients, complex estates and broader wealth planning matters.
THE ROLE
You’ll be involved in a varied and high-quality caseload, including:
- Advising HNW and UHNW individuals, families and business owners
- Complex estate and succession planning
- Wealth preservation and lifetime planning
- Drafting and advising on complex wills and trusts
- Estate administration, including high-value and taxable estates
- Inheritance Tax planning and lifetime gifting
- Trust creation, administration and restructuring
- Family investment and wealth-holding structures
- Lasting Powers of Attorney and wider lifetime planning
- Court of Protection and deputyship matters
- Working alongside accountants, tax advisers, trustees and other professional advisers
- Supporting the continued growth and development of the Private Client team
- Mentoring and supporting more junior members of the team

WHO ARE THEY LOOKING FOR?
I’m keen to speak with experienced Private Client lawyers who are looking for a role offering high-quality work, sophisticated clients and strong career progression.
You’ll ideally have:
- Strong experience in Private Client law
- A background handling complex and high-value matters
- Experience advising HNW/UHNW individuals, families or business owners
- Strong technical knowledge across wills, trusts and estate planning
- Experience with complex estate administration
- Excellent client management and communication skills
- The ambition to continue developing within a leading international law firm
This opportunity would suit an experienced Senior Associate or Legal Director looking to take their career further within a leading Private Client practice.
