Private Client Solicitor
Are you a dedicated Private Client Solicitor looking for an exciting opportunity to join a well-established, growing law firm? Our client is seeking a motivated Private Client Solicitor to join their expanding team in Tranent, Galashiels, or Hawick. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary, commensurate with experience, and plenty of opportunities to develop your legal expertise within a supportive environment.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Managing a varied caseload of private client matters, including wills, powers of attorney, executry administration, trust management, and estate planning.
- Handling residential conveyancing transactions, including sales, purchases, transfers, and remortgages.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships through clear and practical communication.
- Collaborating with colleagues across the firm to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Maintaining accurate case records and ensuring compliance with Law Society of Scotland regulations, AML procedures, and firm policies.
- Supporting business development initiatives to enhance the firm’s reputation in the local community.

Candidate Requirements

- Qualified solicitor in Scotland with 0-5+ years PQE.
- Experience managing private client matters with confidence.
- Knowledge of residential conveyancing preferred.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Approachable, proactive, and professional attitude.
- Desirable: Private client specialist experience, supervisory skills, and a keen interest in business development.
