Service Care Solutions are working with a well-established and growing law firm in Shropshire that is looking to appoint an experienced Childcare Solicitor to join its expanding Family Law team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a solicitor with experience in public law children matters who is looking to join a supportive firm offering genuine progression, flexibility, and the opportunity to make a real difference to clients and families within the local community. The role will involve managing your own varied caseload of childcare matters, including complex care proceedings, PLO work, and emergency applications, while representing parents, children, and extended family members.

The Role:

  • Public law children and care proceedings
  • Supervision Orders and Emergency Protection Orders
  • Public Law Outline (PLO) pre-proceedings work
  • Conducting your own advocacy within the Family Court where appropriate
  • Advising and supporting vulnerable clients throughout complex proceedings
  • Ensuring compliance with Legal Aid Agency requirements and relevant regulatory standards

About You:

  • A qualified Solicitor or CILEX Fellow with a valid practising certificate in England & Wales
  • Experienced in public law childcare matters, ideally with 2+ years PQE
  • Confident conducting advocacy in the Family Court
  • Familiar with Legal Aid work, billing, and compliance requirements

Law Society Children Law Accreditation / Children Panel membership is highly desirable, although candidates working towards accreditation are also encouraged to apply, with full support and funding available.
