Court of Protection Solicitor – Property & Affairs
Basingstoke | £65,000–£73,000
1–5 PQE | Top 50 Full-Service Law Firm
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Court of Protection Solicitor specialising in Property & Affairs to join a highly regarded, top-ranked Court of Protection team based in Basingstoke.
My client is a Top 50 full-service law firm with an excellent reputation. Its Court of Protection team are recognised for its expertise and acts for a diverse range of clients, including vulnerable individuals and those who lack capacity, their families, professional deputies and other professionals.
Working alongside experienced members of the team, you will have the opportunity to develop your own caseload while receiving appropriate training and supervision. Your responsibilities will include:
- Running your own caseload of Court of Protection matters with training and supervision from senior members of the team.
- Assisting with the preparation of Office of the Public Guardian Reports.
- Liaising with Case Managers, clients and their families to ensure matters are managed effectively and sensitively.
- Mentoring and training junior members of staff and delegating tasks appropriately.
- Contributing to the continued development and success of the wider Court of Protection team.

- A good understanding of Court of Protection procedures and the OPG.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- The ability to manage your own caseload with appropriate support and supervision.
- An interest in contributing to the development of team processes and supporting more junior colleagues.
