Are you an ambitious Solicitor looking to develop your career within a highly respected legal and property firm?

At Aberdein Considine, we are seeking a talented Solicitor to join our specialist Banking Litigation team in Newcastle. This is an exciting opportunity to work with major banking and lender clients across a broad range of complex litigation matters while developing your technical expertise and commercial awareness.

You'll become part of a high-performing team known for delivering exceptional client service, achieving outstanding outcomes, and building long-term relationships with some of the UK's most recognised financial institutions.

The Role

As a Solicitor within our Litigation team, you will manage a varied caseload covering debt recovery and dispute resolution matters, providing expert legal advice and representation to lender and banking clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advising clients on a broad range of litigation and dispute resolution matters.
  • Managing a busy and varied caseload from instruction through to resolution.
  • Conducting secured debt recovery actions.
  • Drafting court pleadings and legal documents.
  • Negotiating settlements and securing positive outcomes for clients.
  • Representing clients at court hearings and settlement meetings.
  • Consistently achieving fee and performance targets.

About You

You will ideally possess:

  • ✅ Qualified solicitor in England and Wales.
  • ✅ Experience in litigation, debt recovery or dispute resolution.
  • ✅ Strong knowledge of secured debt recovery law and practice.
  • ✅ Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
  • ✅ Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a demanding caseload.
  • ✅ Commercial awareness and a practical, client-focused approach.
  • ✅ Proficiency in case management systems and legal research tools.
  • ✅ A collaborative mindset and commitment to team success.
