We are a busy and well-respected criminal defence law firm seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Solicitor to join our growing team in Bristol. Allen Hoole is the largest criminal defence practice in the South West. We have offices in Bristol, Cheltenham, and Keynsham. We specialise in defending clients against charges from various prosecuting bodies. The firm offers expertise in all areas of criminal law including a dedicated road traffic law department. Ready to Progress Your Legal Career in Criminal Defence?
We’ll provide you with invaluable experience working alongside experienced criminal defence Solicitors and Barristers further developing practical legal skills.
What You’ll Do
- Lead a varied caseload of criminal cases with excellent caseworker support.
- Prepare legal documents, witness statements, and court bundles.
- Liaise with clients, courts, barristers, and external agencies.
- Conduct legal research and case preparation.
- Attend court hearings and client meetings.
- Manage files and ensure compliance with legal procedures.
What We’re Looking For
- All levels of experience (NQE +)
- A genuine interest in criminal justice and representing clients.
- The ability to remain calm under pressure and work to deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
