Our client is a highly regarded specialist law firm with a strong reputation for its work within the charity and not-for-profit sector. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Charity Governance Solicitor to join their specialist team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with a genuine interest in the charity sector who wants to work somewhere where the sector is central to the firm's work and values.
The opportunity
You will provide high-quality legal advice to charity clients, managing your own caseload while also contributing to larger projects as part of a wider team.

- Providing practical and commercially focused advice to charity clients
- Advising on regulatory matters, including Charity Commission requirements
- Drafting and reviewing governing documents
- Advising on charity mergers
- Supervising charity registration work
- Advising on the establishment of trading subsidiaries
- Managing matters from initial instruction through to completion
- Building strong and lasting client relationships
- Managing files and billing
- Supervising and developing paralegals and junior colleagues
We’re looking for a solicitor with:
- Previous experience working within charity governance
- Strong legal drafting skills and excellent attention to detail
- Excellent client care and communication skills
- Strong commercial awareness
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively
- Experience supervising and developing junior colleagues
- A collaborative and team-focused approach
- A genuine interest in the charity and not-for-profit sector
