About The Role
Complex and Catastrophic Injury – Opportunities
Solicitor – All levels
Locations: Cardiff, London, Liverpool, Southampton, Manchester
Employment Type: Hybrid
Contract Type: Permanent
We are one of the largest, most highly skilled Catastrophic & Complex Injury teams in the market, with a growing portfolio of more than £10m fee income.
The team numbers over 70 lawyers across eight offices, four jurisdictions, with many leading names in the market and over 600 years of experience in large loss between us! All of which makes sure we are making the right decisions for our clients. We handle cases with cumulative reserves of over £1bn and our top tier partners all have experience of handling claims with pleaded values of £20m+.
Our large loss team is managed in three geographical groups under the overall leadership of the Head of our Catastrophic & Complex Injury Group Simon Curtis and Peter Walmsley.
What will I be doing?
As our Catastrophic & Complex Injury team continues to grow, we're recruiting across a number of levels.

Depending On Your Experience And Level, You Will
- Manage and/or support complex and catastrophic injury claims, including high-value multi-track matters.
- Take appropriate ownership of cases through both pre- and post-litigation stages.
- Analyse evidence, develop case strategies and prepare key legal documentation.
- Work closely with clients, counsel, experts and other parties to progress matters effectively.
- Attend conferences, hearings and trials where appropriate.
- Ensure court directions, deadlines and client service requirements are consistently met.
- Build strong client relationships and deliver excellent service.
- Supervise and support colleagues where appropriate to your level.
- Contribute to business development, client initiatives and the continued growth of the team.
- Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
