Employment Partner Leading Law Firm | Belfast
Nixon McQuade are working in partnership with a leading National law firm to appoint an Employment Partner to join and further strengthen its highly regarded commercial practice.
This is a strategic appointment offering the opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future direction of the firm’s employment offering. The successful candidate will advise a high quality client base on complex and sensitive employment matters, while contributing to business development, client relationship management, and team leadership.
The Role:
- Lead and advise on complex employment matters, including contentious and non-contentious employment issues.
- Provide strategic, commercially focused legal advice to a diverse client base, including employers, senior executives, and corporate clients.
- Advise on employment litigation, tribunal claims, disciplinary and grievance matters, restructuring, redundancies, and senior executive issues.
- Manage and grow key client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor at senior stakeholder level.
- Play an active role in business development, including work winning, client pitches, networking, and profile raising.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop junior and senior members of the employment team.
- Contribute to the strategic growth and direction of the employment practice and the wider firm.

The Person:
- Qualified Solicitor with 5+ years PQE in employment law.
- Demonstrable experience handling complex employment matters and advising a broad commercial client base.
- Established client following or strong evidence of business development capability.
- Commercially astute with a pragmatic, solutions-driven approach.
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and people management skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
