Key Responsibilities

• Assist with a varied caseload of clinical negligence matters, supporting a Partner and senior fee earners on complex and catastrophic claims.
• Support the investigation and progression of claims, including obtaining medical records, instructing experts, and analysing evidence.
• Draft legal documents including letters of claim, pleadings, witness statements, and settlement documents.
• Conduct legal research and prepare client briefings and case summaries.
• Liaise with clients, counsel, medical experts, and other stakeholders in a professional and empathetic manner.
• Assist with case management, including compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements.
• Contribute to team knowledge, know-how, and business development initiatives where appropriate.
• Ensure accurate and efficient recording of time and effective diary management.
• Liaise with clients, counsel, barristers, and external advisors, and other stakeholders in a professional and empathetic manner.

About You

The ideal candidate will be a Newly Qualified Solicitor who thrives in a collaborative, market-facing, and high-performing environment. They will demonstrate excellent communication skills, deliver high-quality legal advice while building trusted relationships with clients and colleagues under appropriate supervision.

Experience and Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales (NQ-3PQE).
• Strong academic background and excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
• A genuine interest in medical negligence work and a commitment to delivering high-quality client service.
• Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to client service and practice development.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with the ability to contribute positively to team culture, promoting inclusion and collaboration effectively across global teams.
