Description

Solicitor / - EL/PL

Due to continued success and growth, DAC Beachcroft’s Scottish Casualty Injury team is seeking a Solicitor to support the team Partners in the management of Defendant personal injury claims.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and well-respected team, assisting in the handling of EL/PL claims valued up to £250k, with exposure to more complex matters under the guidance of experienced supervisors and senior lawyers. Full training and ongoing support will be provided to help you thrive in the role.


What you will do?

  • Supporting the effective running of caseloads, ensuring deadlines are met and claims are proactively managed.
  • Assisting with compliance to internal and client SLAs, KPIs, and protocols.
  • Contributing to prompt billing, WIP and disbursement collection, and accurate MI reporting.
  • Helping maintain clear case strategies and applying current technical expertise and case law.
  • Managing risk and compliance issues, escalating concerns as needed.
  • Engaging with clients and acting as a professional ambassador for the firm.
  • Drafting instructions to experts and counsel.
  • Supporting business development and client relationship activities.
  • Maintaining and developing technical knowledge through training and legal publications.

Who you are

  • Be a qualified solicitor in Scots law (some experience in handling personal injury claims is desirable).
  • A motivated individual with experience or interest in personal injury law, particularly EL/PL claims.
  • Organised and able to manage competing priorities with a strong work ethic.
  • Detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality work.
  • Enthusiastic about joining a collaborative and forward-thinking team.
  • Keen to build a career within a leading national law firm.
