Clinical Negligence Case Auditor and Support Medical Law Services (MLS)
Location: Hybrid, Liverpool
Medical Law Services have a fantastic opportunity to join our growing Team.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role by applying their clinical negligence expertise to review case acceptance. This role is at the heart of decision making, ensuring that all appropriate leads are accepted quickly and confidently.
The Legal Support Team also provide expert legal insight throughout the lifecycle of each case during the Medical Law Services (MLS) process, thereby supporting customers of MLS in identifying and resolving key issues should they arise.
The role also involves a crucial feedback loop to assist in identification of training needs across the business and the delivery of key legal training as and when required to assist in elevating teams. The Legal Support Team's expertise will directly influence how colleagues think, learn and operate.

Main Responsibilities For The Role
- To provide key legal insight and input as and when required across all services provided by MLS.
- To review and audit clinical negligence leads which have been vetted by the MLS team.
- Assist in shaping and delivering legal training across the MLS business.
- Strengthen decision making across the business offer clear, confident guidance on complex legal matters, helping colleagues navigate challenges and maintain high standards of case quality.
- Drive continuous improvement through feedback loops analyse trends in casework, identify recurring issues, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate closely with operational teams — work alongside case handlers, managers, and stakeholders to ensure legal considerations are embedded at every stage of the MLS process.
- Champion best practice and compliance ensure all case-related decisions align with legal frameworks, internal policies, and industry standards.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives support wider business projects by offering legal expertise that improves processes, enhances quality, and strengthens customer outcomes.

Essential Skills And Experience
- Proven experience in clinical negligence case management
- Background in legal case assessment with experience in screening legal cases
- Legal expertise
- Sharp analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Stakeholder management skills – ability to work across a number of cross functional teams, influencing decisions and acting as a trusted legal partner.
- High attention to detail ensuring accuracy in decision making
- Commitment to continuous improvement to be proactive in identification of trends, improvement opportunities and case quality standards.
- Strong experience of Proclaim or other software tools for example Adobe, Microsoft
