Probate Solicitor - Flexible Hybrid

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Probate Solicitor or experienced Probate Fee Earner to join a growing and forward-thinking specialist legal team on a flexible Hybrid setup, 1-2 days a week in Birmingham, with the scope to become more remote.

This role is available at a variety of levels and offers the opportunity to manage a diverse caseload while benefiting from excellent support, modern legal technology, and genuine opportunities for career development.

The firm has a strong focus on delivering an exceptional client experience and is continuing to invest in both its people and technology. You will join a growing probate team and work within an innovative environment where technology, including AI-enabled processes, is helping to streamline estate administration and support colleagues.

The Role

As a Probate Solicitor, you will:

  • Manage your own caseload of probate and estate administration matters from instruction through to completion, with cases varying in complexity.
  • Deliver a high level of client service and maintain strong relationships throughout the process.
  • Use a modern case management system to accurately manage and record case information.
  • Communicate with clients primarily via telephone and email.
  • Work collaboratively with experienced colleagues and dedicated administrative support.
  • Use your legal knowledge and experience to support and mentor more junior members of the team where appropriate.
  • Manage your workload effectively within a busy, fast-paced, and high-volume environment.

About You

This opportunity would suit a Solicitor, Legal Executive, or experienced Probate Fee Earner with:

  • Qualification as a Solicitor (NQ+) or CILEX Lawyer, STEP qualification, or equivalent experience within probate and estate administration.
  • Previous experience managing probate matters and running a caseload with a degree of autonomy.
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • The ability to use initiative and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A client-focused approach and excellent communication skills.
  • The ability to build positive client relationships, including when working remotely.
