Solicitor – Property & Commercial Legal Services
Location: Nottinghamshire, UK
Duration: 3 Months
Contract: Temporary / Contract
We are seeking an experienced Solicitor to join our Legal Services team in Nottinghamshire. The successful candidate will provide expert legal advice, guidance, and representation across property matters and major commercial projects, supporting both internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a personal caseload and provide high-quality legal advice and support.
- Advise and represent clients in legal proceedings, meetings, and negotiations.
- Handle property and commercial legal matters in line with relevant legislation and professional standards.
- Monitor changes in law and legal practice and advise on their impact.
- Contribute to policies, procedures, service improvements, and legal training.
- Provide professional guidance and support to colleagues within Legal Services.
- Build effective relationships with government departments, professional bodies, and external organisations.
- Deputise for Senior Solicitors when required.

Key Skills & Experience:
- Qualified Solicitor with relevant post-qualification experience.
- Strong experience in property law and/or commercial legal work.
- Experience managing a caseload and providing practical legal advice.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise competing demands, and meet deadlines.
- Public-sector/local authority experience would be advantageous.
