Legal Manager – Property

Worcester based with a balance of home and office working

£56,110 - £59,059 per year

35 hours per week

We have an opportunity for a Legal Manager – Property to join our Property team, based within Legal Services. The main purpose of this role is to support the management and delivery of property-related legal services to the Group ensuring compliance with regulations and business policies.

The role of Legal Manager – Property will include:

  • Manage programmes and initiatives affecting the Group's property portfolio to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulation
  • Assist in managing the Group’s external legal providers, ensuring the delivery of a quality service that represents value for money
  • Manage own caseload of legal work including sales, leases, infrastructure agreements
  • Manage and maintain relationships with internal and external customers, providing excellent customer service
  • Review and update relevant policies and procedures to ensure continued compliance with legal and regulatory requirements

Skills and experiences:

  • Solicitor, FILEX or Licenced Conveyancer
  • Membership of relevant professional body (e.g. Law Society)
  • Recent experience of managing property related legal transactions
  • Proven achievement working in a commercially focussed legal role
  • Working knowledge of property law, housing regulations and current best practice
  • Experience of managing projects with strong project management skills
  • Proven experience of managing staff
