About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented person to join our busy and successful Real Estate Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified solicitor with experience in Real Estate, lending, financial services, or banking.
You’ll be part of a highly regarded team with a strong track record in the commercial property market, offering exposure to quality work, close client relationships, and clear career development opportunities.
Your Responsibilities
- Providing commercially focused guidance to lender clients, including funding arrangements and planning considerations
- Managing a caseload of secured lending transactions and advising borrowers and lenders on a broad range of property-backed finance matters including:
- Commercial funding (office, retail, student accommodation, hospitality), buy-to-let funding, development funding, high-profile real estate assets and portfolios
- Investment and re-structuring finance
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients, building trusted relationships, and identifying opportunities to add value
- Managing post-completion and in-life loan matters, including consents to leases, deeds of priority, and other security-related amendments to ensure lender protections remain effective
- Contribute to the growth and reputation of the team through client care, collaboration, and business development.

The team’s expertise spans both sides of the real estate finance spectrum, acting for the main challenger banks and building societies in their secured lending work, major high street banks on high-value loans to investors and businesses, and also working with borrowers in connection with their land, commercial, residential, or development finance. We also provide advice to lenders who already have taken security but for a number of reasons may need to enforce this security.

What We’re Looking For
- Experience: NQ-3 years PQE. Previous experience handling residential and/or commercial property matters is essential.
- Legal Skills: Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills. A commercial, solutions-led mindset is key.
- Client Focus: Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships through excellent service and responsiveness.
- Motivation: A proactive team player who is confident taking on responsibility and demonstrating initiative with the drive to contribute to team success.
- Organisation: High level of attention to detail and ability to manage a busy caseload with competing deadlines.
