Harrison-Drury
Harrison-Drury is a market-leading firm of solicitors with offices in Lancashire, Cumbria, and Staffordshire. We’re delighted to be named one of the UK’s Best Companies to work for, for the third year running, placing at number 40 in the Top 100 Best Mid‑Sized Companies to work for list. We also ranked 10th in the Best Companies to work for in the Law sector — achievements that reflect our commitment to creating a supportive, people-focused workplace.
We are seeking a solicitor with 4+ years’ PQE and strong commercial property litigation experience to join our Land and Property Dispute Resolution team.
We are an employer of choice because we challenge the traditional law firm model. Our culture focuses on delivering exceptional results for our clients while attracting, developing, and retaining brilliant people.
Our Land and Property Dispute Resolution team is recognised in the Legal 500 for its technical expertise and high-quality commercial advice. We act for businesses and individuals across England on the full spectrum of contentious property matters, including landlord and tenant disputes, real estate litigation, property contract claims, and professional negligence claims involving property professionals.
Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a solicitor with the drive and ambition to develop their career within the team. The successful candidate will manage their own caseload, support senior fee earners, and play an active role in the development of the team both internally and externally. We will provide the support, training, and investment needed to help them achieve their personal and professional goals as a property litigation specialist.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
