Role Overview

The Solution Analyst owns the front-end analysis that turns an emerging business need into a clearly defined, well-understood piece of work, with the outcome, scope, and rationale established before delivery begins.

This is a Solution Analyst role within our loan administration and private debt servicing area. This is a business process outsourcing service: we service loans and private debt on behalf of clients, calculating and collecting borrower interest and allocating it to lenders, maintaining the loan records that downstream reporting and fund valuation depend on. The role brings deep loan-servicing and private-debt operational knowledge into the front-end of complex change. In some cases this servicing links into wider fund administration offerings we provide, and in others it stands alone.

The role sits within the Tech Solutions organisation as a deployable analytical and subject-matter-expert resource, not permanently embedded in any one team, and is deployed against the pipeline of complex work in this area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the subject-matter expert and analytical lead for the platforms and processes that support our Private Debt offerings: loan administration, loan agency and CLO.
  • Bring deep loan administration and servicing knowledge, covering the loan lifecycle from deal and position set-up through interest and fee calculation, drawdowns, repayments, and lender allocations, to the front-end shaping of solutions, so the work handed to delivery teams reflects how loan servicing actually operates and where it can be improved.
  • Protect the integrity of the loan data that flows into downstream reporting and fund valuation, making sure that what the servicing platform produces is timely, accurate, and fit for the processes that depend on it.
  • Conduct front-end analysis of complex work, covering feasibility, operating-model implications, data quality, and readiness, before a delivery team picks the work up.
  • Collaborate across stakeholder groups to define and document business requirements, translating current-state analysis, requirements, and gaps into a clear solution intent.
  • Go and get the information needed to do the analysis directly, querying data, reviewing system configuration and behaviour, and running analysis using AI tooling where it helps, rather than waiting for others to provide answers.
  • Work alongside Solution Owners at the front-end of complex work to shape intent and acceptance criteria for the parts of the work that carry the most complexity.
  • Represent technical limitations and implementation realities back to business stakeholders, and business intent back to engineers, translating in both directions.
  • Identify risks a delivery team would not otherwise see, including data gaps, downstream impacts, operational-readiness concerns, and regulatory implications.
  • Partner with Integration Quality Engineers on cross-team and cross-solution test scenarios that no single team can cover.
  • Support adoption readiness where value realisation depends on more than the build, including communications, training, data clean-up, and operational change, particularly where readiness work spans teams.
  • Recognise patterns across the business area, including recurring themes, overlaps, and opportunities for reuse, feeding roadmap shaping.
  • Create and maintain supporting product documentation, including system overviews, functional narratives, and use cases.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Qualifications

Required

  • 8+ years of experience in loan administration, loan agency, or private debt / private credit servicing, ideally within a fund services, asset servicing, or agency-lending environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of the syndicated and bilateral loan operating model: interest and fee accruals, coupon and amortisation schedules, drawdowns and repayments, PIK, unfunded commitments, and the pro-rata allocation of borrower interest to lenders.
  • Demonstrable understanding of the loan life cycle end to end - from document interpretation and extraction of loan economics, through reporting build and integrations to downstream systems, all underpinned by reconciliations to safeguard data integrity.
  • Substantial experience gathering, analysing, and documenting business requirements, and translating them into clear solution intent and acceptance criteria.
  • Ability to model business processes and produce analytical artefacts such as process models, use cases, procedural guides, and scenarios.
  • Strong analytical judgement, knowing what to look at, what to ignore, and when analysis is good enough to act on.
  • Credibility with both business and technical stakeholders, with the ability to hold a view under questioning.
  • Ability to host and drive requirements-gathering sessions using a variety of elicitation techniques (user story mapping, event storming etc).
  • Experience or exposure to system integrations using APIs, S3, Snowflake and similar technologies.
  • Expert proficiency in Excel and Word.
