Salary: £90,000 - £110,000 (+ benefits & travel expenses)

We are looking to recruit an SC Cleared Solution Architect with a strong Integration Architecture background to join a major Central Government programme.
This is a permanent opportunity working across a complex, multi-supplier technology environment, helping to define integration strategy, architectural standards, and solution designs across a broad enterprise landscape.
We are open to candidates at different levels of seniority. This could suit a technically strong Solution Architect with deep integration expertise, or a more senior architect looking to take greater ownership of architecture, governance, and stakeholder engagement.

This is a hybrid role, and you will be required to work onsite 2 days a week in Bristol.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead solution and integration architecture across complex enterprise environments
- Define integration approaches covering APIs, messaging, event-driven architecture, and data integration
- Develop architecture standards, principles, and governance artefacts
- Produce clear architecture models and technical guidance
- Work closely with delivery teams, suppliers, and senior stakeholders
- Ensure solutions align with security, regulatory, and architectural standards
- Support architectural governance and decision-making across the programme
Skills & Experience

- Proven experience as a Solution Architect, Integration Architect, Enterprise Architect, or Senior Technical Architect
- Strong background in enterprise-scale integration architecture
- Experience with:
- API-led integration
- Event-driven architecture
- Messaging and service-oriented architectures
- Data integration and synchronisation
- Experience producing architecture models, standards, and governance documentation
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience working in complex, secure, or highly regulated environments
- Experience using Sparx Enterprise Architect
- ArchiMate experience would be highly advantageous
- Previous Central Government or Defence experience would be beneficial
You must currently hold active SC Clearance.
