This role is Hybrid and can be based from Derby, Manchester or Warrington

About the Digital & IT Team

The Digital & IT team is enabling the technology foundations that will help transform nuclear energy delivery. Working across engineering, manufacturing, enterprise and digital platforms, we design innovative solutions that support rapid business growth while ensuring a secure, scalable and future-ready technology landscape.

About the Role

In this context, we are looking for a Solution Architect to support our Digital & IT Delivery team, reporting to the Solution Delivery Project Manager. This is a pivotal role that will shape and deliver technology solutions across critical business and engineering domains, helping create a connected, sustainable and high-performing enterprise technology environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading the design and delivery of solution architectures that align business requirements with enterprise strategy
  • Shaping scalable, secure and integrated solutions across engineering, manufacturing, enterprise and digital platforms
  • Providing technical governance, architectural assurance and risk management throughout project delivery
  • Collaborating with business stakeholders, project teams and technology partners to ensure successful outcomes across complex programmes

Key Requirements

  • A recognised architecture, technology or related qualification, or equivalent demonstrable industry experience
  • Experience designing solution architectures across complex multi-system environments, ideally including engineering, construction or digital engineering platforms
  • Strong knowledge of systems integration, cloud technologies, enterprise architecture principles and information management
  • We'll ask you about your experience influencing technical direction, governing solution delivery and engaging senior stakeholders across large-scale programmes

This role can be based in Derby, Manchester or Warrington. We offer flexible and hybrid working, with regular office attendance expected alongside collaboration with stakeholders across the business.
