Shape the Future of ERP, Supply Chain, Engineering & AI Across Spirax Steam

About The Role
This is not a typical ERP architecture role.
This is the only dedicated ERP & Engineering Solution Architect position within Spirax Steam and represents a rare opportunity to influence ERP, Supply Chain, Engineering, and AI-enabled business platform strategy across a global manufacturing organization.
We are seeking a senior Solution Architect to become the sole Solution Architecture leader within Spirax Steam, providing architectural direction across one of the most significant business transformation portfolios in the organization.
As part of our global Architecture & Digital Design function, you will define the future ERP strategy for Spirax Steam, working at the intersection of business transformation, enterprise architecture, cloud technology, AI innovation, and platform modernization.
The role extends beyond ERP and will help shape the future architecture of key Supply Chain and Engineering platforms that support Spirax Steam's manufacturing, operational, and product development capabilities.
Over the coming years, Spirax Steam will undertake a substantial ERP evolution journey. This includes:
- Modernising a complex legacy ERP landscape.
- Supporting the Zenith investment programme commencing in 2027.
- Defining and governing the future UK ERP modernisation roadmap.
- Supporting the evolution of our global JD Edwards 9.2 template.
- Contributing to a strategic Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management pilot.
- Providing architectural oversight across other ERP platforms including SAP, Infor, Business Central, and Dynamics GP.
- Supporting the integration of ERP with wider Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Product Lifecycle Management capabilities.
- Exploring how AI, Copilot, and Agent-based solutions can be embedded into core ERP and operational business processes.
This role will have a direct influence on how Spirax Steam operates globally for years to come.
You will work closely with Product Managers, Product Teams, Business Partners, Delivery Partners, and the Business to shape technology decisions, roadmap priorities, and platform investments across multiple countries and operating companies.
As a global role, effective communication is critical. The successful candidate must be able to communicate complex technical and business concepts clearly and confidently in spoken and written English, engaging audiences ranging from technical specialists through to senior business leaders and executives.
