The role focuses on designing and deploying AI-enabled capabilities into the enterprise estate, ensuring they integrate effectively with customer journeys and core back-end systems through secure, resilient, and reusable patterns. The role combines strategic architecture leadership with hands-on solution design, governance, and delivery support, ensuring alignment to enterprise principles, roadmaps, vision, and technology standards.
Main Duties
- Lead the end-to-end solution design for GenAI initiatives, from initial concept through to delivery, ensuring solutions enable intended business value.

- Produce high-quality architecture documentation, capturing decision points, solution structures, standards, interdependencies, and implementation considerations.
- Contribute to the architecture repository using agreed modelling tools and architecture language.
- Support the use of AI capability platforms, including MCP Servers and CI/CD enablement.
- Promote architecture capability across the organisation through knowledge sharing, articles, papers, specialist groups, and participation in relevant forums.
- Support innovation by researching emerging technologies, assessing industry developments, and communicating opportunities, threats, and strategic implications.
- Keep architecture and CTO leadership informed of progress, risks, significant decisions, and areas requiring escalation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
