Solution Architect

Job Description

This role focuses on providing solution architecture leadership for a major organisational migration and transformation programme that is bringing previously outsourced business and technology services back in-house. Operating within a highly visible, business-critical environment, you will help define migration strategies, design target-state architectures and produce High Level Designs across multiple workstreams. The position requires an experienced architect who can quickly add value, work independently and navigate the complexities of transitioning services between organisations within demanding timescales and contractual delivery milestones.

Responsibilities

  • Produce clear, comprehensive High Level Designs (HLDs) to support service migration and target-state architecture definition.
  • Define migration approaches and target-state solutions for a range of operational and technology services being transitioned between organisations.
  • Identify and document risks, dependencies, sequencing requirements and implementation considerations across multiple workstreams.
  • Provide architectural leadership for business-critical service migrations, ensuring alignment with programme objectives and architecture governance.
  • Work closely with project managers, business analysts, engineers and subject matter experts to ensure coherent and practical solution designs.
  • Engage senior business and technology stakeholders to communicate architectural options, implications and recommendations.
  • Facilitate workshops to gather requirements, validate assumptions and drive consensus on migration strategies and solution designs.
  • Support successful migration planning and delivery by providing ongoing architectural guidance and oversight.
  • Operate proactively and independently, taking ownership of deliverables and driving progress within compressed timescales.
  • Apply architecture governance principles to ensure solutions meet regulatory, operational and strategic requirements.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
