Role: Solution Architect
Location: Remote but requirement on Client site as/when needed
Salary: £90,000 to £120,000
Clearance: Must be SC Clearable or possess Active SC Clearance
Interview Process: 3 Stage
iO Associates are currently looking to hire up to two Solution Architects to join a growing team delivering complex, business-critical technology solutions across a diverse client base.
This is an opportunity for experienced architects who enjoy combining strategic solution design with hands-on technical delivery. We're looking for individuals who can engage confidently with clients, shape technical direction, and remain close enough to the technology to provide practical guidance and leadership.
While many candidates excel in either architecture or hands-on engineering, we're particularly interested in professionals who can bridge both worlds. There is also potential to hire two complementary candidates with different strengths, making this an exciting opportunity for experienced architects with varied backgrounds.

What You'll Be Doing
- Designing and delivering end-to-end cloud-based solutions.
- Working closely with clients to understand business and technical requirements.
- Providing strategic architectural guidance while remaining technically hands-on where required.
- Leading technical discussions and presenting solution designs to stakeholders.
- Collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient solutions.
- Supporting solution delivery across AWS and/or Azure environments.
- Contributing to projects spanning Cloud, Cyber Security, Data, and wider enterprise architecture.

What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect with strong technical depth.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or both.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with practical technical delivery.
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
- Broad technical knowledge across cloud technologies, with experience in areas such as Cyber Security and/or Data highly desirable.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites when required.
Nice to Have
- Active SC Clearance (or eligibility to obtain SC Clearance).
- Experience delivering solutions within Government or Defence environments.
