This well-established multinational consultancy are seeking an experienced Solution Architect with Private Cloud and Infrastructure/Public Hosting experience to own customer engagements.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced customer-facing Engineer or Architect with significant Private Cloud experience to take the next step into a challenging position with a company offering significant growth potential.

They provide a cost-effective, service-first alternative to original equipment manufacturer (OEM) post-warranty maintenance and infrastructure management.
About the Solution Architect (Private Cloud and Infrastructure) Vacancy:
The Solution Architect supports the sales cycle by shaping customer solutions, communicating business value, and guiding opportunities from discovery through proposal.
The role requires broad knowledge of Private Cloud services and the ability to translate customer requirements into commercially viable, technically appropriate solutions aligned with business objectives and the company’s portfolio of services.
Working with sales, technical architects, commercial, product, and service delivery teams, the role acts as the link between the customer and internal teams, ensuring requirements, priorities, and expectations are clearly understood and aligned.
Building strong customer and stakeholder relationships is an important part of the role.
This role develops proposals and presentations that address customer challenges, align with the Private Cloud services portfolio, support governance and pricing requirements, and enable an effective transition into delivery.

Success is measured by contribution to new business growth aligned with the Service Express portfolio.
Key responsibilities include:
- Translate customer requirements into Service Express cloud solutions and articulate the associated business value.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly and adapt messaging to different audiences and stages of engagement.
- Support the sales team in the timely development of proposals, presentations, and customer responses.
- Work cross-functionally to ensure proposals are fit for purpose, technically sound, aligned with the cloud services technology roadmap, and documented for transition into delivery.
- Ensure solutions align with service definitions, commercial models, and internal governance requirements.
- Contribute to the development of repeatable solution architecture collateral and standard service catalogue content.
- Maintain compliance with applicable data protection requirements in the handling of customer and company information.
Ideal Requirements for the Solution Architect (Private Cloud and Infrastructure) Vacancy:
Basic qualifications include:
- Experience in private cloud and cloud services and the ability to build credibility with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Broad awareness of relevant technology areas, the company’s product portfolio including cloud and cloud services, IaaS, networking, security, communications, data management, and public cloud.
- Experience facilitating customer meetings and managing multiple opportunities concurrently.
- Strong written communication skills, including experience developing proposals and RFI/RFP responses.
- Commercial awareness, effective relationship management, and sound judgement when balancing competing priorities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, manage workload effectively, and perform under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a valid driving license for travel to customer and prospect sites.

Technical platform knowledge includes:
- Strong working knowledge of Private Cloud services, capabilities, and typical customer use cases, with the ability to position appropriate solutions against business, operational, and commercial requirements.
- Broad understanding of infrastructure, security, networking, resilience, and governance considerations relevant to Private Cloud solutions, sufficient to shape credible customer proposals and engage confidently with technical stakeholders.
- Ability to assess customer environments and requirements at a high level and translate them into solution options, migration approaches, and service recommendations for Private Cloud.
- Awareness of platform dependencies, integration considerations, and operational requirements that influence solution scope, risk, and transition into delivery.
- Understanding of hybrid and public cloud positioning, including when Private Cloud is the right fit within a broader customer technology strategy.
- Ability to work with technical specialists and delivery teams to validate assumptions, refine solution detail where needed, and ensure proposals remain practical, supportable, and aligned to service standards.
- Awareness of migration, modernisation, and transformation considerations, with the ability to contribute to high-level plans, indicative scope, and customer-facing roadmaps for Private Cloud opportunities.
