Job Specification – Solution Architect (Salesforce and Enterprise Platforms)
We are seeking a Solution Architect with deep Salesforce expertise and the breadth to design solutions across the wider enterprise landscape. Salesforce supports key customer, case management, quotation, and commercial processes. We currently use Salesforce CPQ and are evolving towards Revenue Cloud. The successful candidate will understand when capability belongs in Salesforce and when another platform is the better fit.
You will design end-to-end solutions spanning Salesforce, SAP, ServiceNow, Genesys, Azure, data, and integration services, balancing business outcomes with security, resilience, supportability, and cost.
What you'll do
- End-to-End Solution Architecture
- Lead solution architecture for Salesforce-related initiatives, with accountability for the complete end-to-end solution.
- Translate business outcomes and cross-functional processes into coherent architectures spanning customer engagement, quotation, ordering, fulfilment, billing, and service operations.
- Assess options objectively and allocate capabilities, data ownership, and process responsibilities across Salesforce and other enterprise platforms.
- Shape the evolution of Salesforce CPQ and Revenue Cloud as part of the wider commercial landscape.
- Define secure, scalable, and supportable integrations and non-functional requirements.
- Work with business stakeholders, delivery teams, and architects across SAP, ServiceNow, Genesys, Azure, Data, Security, and Integration.
- Produce clear architecture options, recommendations, and decisions, and govern delivery against agreed designs and standards.
- Ensure solutions have clear operational ownership and favour configuration and reuse over unnecessary customisation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
What you’ll need
- Substantial Salesforce solution architecture experience, including security, data modelling, automation, integration, and scalable platform design.
- Practical experience with relevant Salesforce capabilities such as Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ, or Revenue Cloud.
- Demonstrable experience designing end-to-end solutions across multiple enterprise platforms and making sound capability-placement decisions.
- Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns and their key trade-offs.
- Experience defining non-functional requirements and governing solutions through design and delivery.
- Ability to challenge assumptions, influence stakeholders, and communicate complex decisions clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
Highly Desirable
- Architecture experience with Salesforce CPQ, Revenue Cloud, or comparable quote-to-order capabilities.
- Experience integrating Salesforce with ERP, ITSM, contact-centre, or data platforms.
- Working knowledge of SAP, ServiceNow, Genesys, Microsoft Azure, or enterprise integration platforms.
- Relevant Salesforce architecture certifications, as supporting evidence of expertise.
What Success Looks Like
- Solutions are driven by end-to-end business outcomes rather than the preference of a single platform.
- Salesforce is used where it provides the best strategic fit, with clear boundaries, ownership, and integration to the wider landscape.
- Architecture decisions are clear, proportionate, and balance delivery needs with security, resilience, supportability, and cost.
- Delivery teams receive practical guidance, and solutions remain maintainable after implementation.
