Solution Architect – SC & NPPV3 Cleared

Whitehall Resources are currently looking for a Solution Architect – SC & NPPV3 Cleared.

This role will be Inside of IR35, so you will be required to use an FCSA Accredited Umbrella Company.

Must not have been outside of the UK for more than 6 Months in the last 5 years.

Key Requirements:

  • The Solution Designer will play a key role in a major organisational transformation programme responsible for aligning multiple organisations, business units, and end-user communities to a unified Target Operating Model (TOM).
  • Working across business, technology, service management, and transformation teams, the Solution Designer will develop end-to-end solution designs that enable the successful integration of new organisations onto the client's strategic platforms, services, processes, and governance frameworks.
  • The role will ensure that solutions are practical, scalable, supportable, and aligned with both business objectives and technical architecture standards.
  • The successful candidate will combine strong design and analysis skills with a deep understanding of business transformation, service integration, and enterprise technology environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on Solution Design for this initiative.
  • Develop end-to-end solution designs that support the implementation of the TOM.
  • Solution design covering people, process, technology, data, service, and governance.
  • Ensure solutions support standardisation, scalability and long-term sustainability.
  • Maintain end-to-end traceability between business requirements and solution design.
  • Support the onboarding and integration of multiple organisations and user communities onto common platforms and services.
  • Analyse current-state operating models, processes, and technology landscapes.
  • Identify design impacts, dependencies, risks, and opps associated with org transition.
  • Contribute to transition planning and implementation activities.
  • Support business readiness and organisational adoption initiatives.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, architects, service integration teams, and stakeholders to gather and refine requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops to understand operational, business, and technical needs.
  • Document functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Analyse business processes and identify opps for simplification and harmonisation.
  • Ensure solution designs align to business outcomes and transformation objectives.
  • Define how services, platforms, applications, and operational processes integrate within the future-state environment.
  • Ensure design consistency across business, tech, and service management domains.
  • Support integration of users and services into common support and gov frameworks.
  • Work with SI, Infrastructure, Apps and Security teams to give cohesive solution delivery.
  • Ensure solutions are designed with operational supportability in mind.
  • Produce high-quality solution documentation and design artefacts.
  • Compliance with enterprise architecture standards, policies, and design principles.
  • Support design reviews and assurance activities throughout the programme lifecycle.
  • Maintain solution integrity from conception through implementation.
  • Engage with leaders, operational teams, technical specialists, and prog stakeholders.
  • Build effective relationships across transformation workstreams.
  • Support decision-making through clear analysis, design options, and recommendations.
  • Facilitate alignment between stakeholder expectations and programme objectives.
  • Identify design risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies.
  • Assess impacts of design decisions on business ops, users, platforms, and services.
  • Support mitigation planning and issue resolution.
  • Ensure dependencies between workstreams are clearly understood and managed.

  • Significant experience in Solution Design, Solution Architecture, Systems Analysis, or Technical Design roles.
  • Experience supporting largescale organisational transformation programmes.
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into practical end-to-end solutions.
  • Experience designing solutions that span people, process, technology, and service management domains.
  • Strong understanding of business process design and operating model transformation.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholder groups in complex enterprise environments.
  • Knowledge of systems integration, platform onboarding, and service adoption activities.
  • Ability to balance strategic objectives with practical delivery requirements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication, workshop facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
