Job Description

Anticipated Contract End Date/Length: March 31, 2027
Work Setup: Hybrid (2–3 days per week in office)
Clearance Required: BPSS

Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for a Solution Architect to lead and manage software development projects and create high-level solution designs aligned with business requirements, enterprise architecture, and organizational vision. The role will work across cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, provide technical guidance, and ensure adherence to software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes and best practices.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead and manage software development projects using Java, Python, Typescript, AWS, React JS, Angular, and other technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Create high-level designs and solution architecture documents for business requirements.
  • Produce several option papers and work with architecture communities and forums to get designs approved.
  • Apply architectural principles and patterns, a variety of solution types, detailed design patterns, best practices, and integration choices.
  • Design solutions that reduce technical debt through futuristic solutions aligned with enterprise architecture and vision.
  • Reuse existing applications, services, and data wherever possible.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver defined scope, objectives, and deliverables on technical grounds.
  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders, development teams, and other departments.
  • Ensure adherence to software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes and best practices.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to development teams.
  • Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders.
  • Utilize ServiceNow, Confluence, and JIRA for project tracking and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Possess strong technical experience in Architecture, Design, and Development.
  • Demonstrate a strong technical background with expertise in .NET, Java, Python, Typescript, AWS, React JS, and Angular.
  • Have proven experience managing end-to-end project lifecycles.
  • Exhibit exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Apply excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Communicate effectively with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Have Insurance Domain experience; commercial insurance or London Market experience will be an added advantage.
  • Possess experience in Software Architecture and REST API Development.
  • Apply SDLC principles using Agile methodologies and Scrum.
  • Have experience in issue resolution, risk management, project management, team leadership, and stakeholder communication.
  • Possess exposure to the Insurance domain.
