Solution Architect (Energy Pricing Data & AI/ML)
Part-Time Contract: 2 days/week

Role Summary
International Tech Services Co is seeking a part-time Solution Architect with strong energy-sector knowledge and hands-on experience shaping and delivering pricing data initiatives, with exposure to AI/ML-enabled use cases. You will translate business objectives into implementable solution designs, align stakeholders across business and technology, and drive architecture decisions that accelerate delivery while protecting quality and measurable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead solution discovery to clarify business goals, scope, constraints, dependencies, and success metrics for energy pricing data and AI/ML initiatives.
- Define end-to-end solution architecture across data sourcing, processing, modelling, integration, and consumption (analytics and AI/ML use cases).
- Translate business needs into clear architectural decisions, patterns, and technical requirements that delivery teams can execute against.
- Produce concise, high-quality architecture artefacts as needed (e.g., high-level design, target state, context and data flow diagrams, interface and integration notes, non-functional requirements).
- Partner with pricing domain stakeholders to align on definitions, data expectations, governance requirements, and adoption outcomes across oil, power, and gas contexts.
- Collaborate with data engineering and platform teams to ensure feasibility, scalability, security, and operational readiness of the proposed solution.
- Support AI/ML initiatives by shaping practical use cases, defining data inputs/outputs, documenting assumptions, and aligning on acceptance criteria and value measurement.
- Facilitate architecture and alignment workshops, driving clear decisions, ownership, and follow-through in a hybrid, multi-stakeholder environment.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, translating technical trade-offs into commercial impact and delivery implications.
- Demonstrate value quickly by unblocking delivery early through clarity, alignment, and decision-making that reduces ambiguity and rework.

Must-Have Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in solution architecture, technical architecture, or a senior BA/technical analyst role with clear architecture ownership.
- Proven experience delivering energy pricing data initiatives (e.g., pricing data models, feeds, definitions, reporting/analytics enablement, data quality).
- Energy sector domain knowledge across oil, power, and/or gas pricing contexts.
- Exposure to AI/ML projects (e.g., shaping model-enabled use cases, data readiness, requirements, stakeholder alignment).
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to establish credibility across business and engineering teams.
- Excellent documentation and facilitation skills, producing clear, structured artefacts and driving decisions in working sessions.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience working with modern data platforms and analytics stacks in cross-functional delivery teams.
- Familiarity with data governance concepts (definitions, lineage, quality controls, stewardship).
- Consulting or client-facing delivery experience in fast-moving environments.
