Solution Data Architect
Location: Horsham | Hybrid (Mon-Fri 3 days on site)
Salary: 80k - 100k
VIQU has partnered with a financial services organisation undergoing a significant enterprise-wide transformation to recruit a Solution Data Architect. Data sits at the heart of the organisation’s strategy, and this position will be responsible for turning enterprise standards into robust, scalable solution data designs across strategic projects.
Key Responsibilities of the Solution Data Architect
- Produce high-quality solution data designs across multiple projects
- Develop and maintain solution data models and dictionaries
- Align designs with enterprise and canonical data models
- Support data impact assessments, architecture guidance and design patterns
- Define appropriate data integration and canonical exchange approaches
- Apply Data Protection by Design principles
- Ensure data designs meet governance requirements
- Support evaluation of data-related products and services
- Act as the project-level point of contact for data architecture
- Work closely with architects, analysts, platform owners, project teams and third parties

Key Requirements of the Solution Data Architect
- Strong hands-on solution data architecture experience
- Deep knowledge of data modelling and integration patterns
- Hands-on Erwin experience is required
- Strong understanding of databases, middleware and data integration
- Knowledge of data protection and software delivery methodologies
- Strong stakeholder-management and influencing skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Purview is advantageous
- Ataccama or Profisee experience is advantageous
- Working knowledge of Azure, Databricks and Power BI
- Insurance or financial-services experience would be beneficial
