Alexander James Recruiting is currently working with a leading manufacturer and supplier of material handling, automation & robotics equipment, seeking an experienced Solution Design Manager to support projects and manage the solutions team across the UK. With a competitive basic salary and overall package, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Solution Design Manager working within automation/robotics interested in joining a global organization who are at the forefront of warehouse technology.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the solutions design team across the UK made up of Project Engineers, Design Engineers and Product Specialists
  • Assisting the sales team during the offer phase, reviewing the proposal with the customer and validating the budget costs
  • Coordinating all member of the team throughout the bid process
  • Developing concepts for customers specific automated logistic requirements for AGVs, AMRs and other automated solutions
  • Mentoring customers on the technical components of their products
  • Attending customer sites across the UK to support the project/sales teams with client visits
  • Providing technical support to the in-house engineering teams

Requirements

The company have a preference for an individual with Solution Design Management experience within Intralogistics. It is essential that you have a strong understanding of system integration and have technical knowledge of different automated/robotics solutions. It is also highly preferred that you have a background in management of high value accounts and a diverse group of employees. You must hold a full UK driver’s license and be willing to travel nationally. In terms of location, you can be based anywhere across the UK.
