Must Have: Expert in Retail Technology Solution design
Core skillset:
Experience: Has delivered operational transformations for mid-size retailers (100Mn to 5Bn).
- Here are some of the Commercial Functions experience we will need to look for:
- Supplier selection, sourcing, and negotiation of commercial terms
- Buy quantities, open to buy and the WSSI: how it is built, maintained, and used
- Stock flow through the supply chain, from supplier to warehouse to store
- Allocation and replenishment (grading and clustering)
- Initial pricing, in-life price changes, and multi-currency pricing and exchange rate management
- Markdown, terminal stock, and end of life
- Promotional design and the mechanics behind it
- Forecasting and demand planning
- The trading rhythm: the trade meeting, the reporting that supports it, and the decisions it produces
- The underlying data, attributes, and definitions that all of the above depend on
