Hybrid / Technical Sales / International Business Environment
An international company is currently recruiting a Solution Engineer to support sales activities across the UK and international markets.
The Solution Engineer will act as a technical liaison between customers and the business, providing product expertise, delivering presentations and demonstrations, and supporting successful sales outcomes. The role offers the opportunity to work with global customers and develop expertise within the fire detection solutions industry.
The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background, excellent customer communication skills, and the ability to explain complex solutions in a clear and practical way.

Main Responsibilities
- Support the sales team with technical expertise and customer engagement activities
- Deliver product presentations, demonstrations, and technical briefings to customers
- Understand customer requirements and propose suitable solutions
- Provide technical guidance, respond to product enquiries, and support issue resolution
- Visit customer sites to investigate technical or application issues and provide recommendations
- Act as a point of contact for complex customer queries and escalations
- Support customer onboarding, product training, and technical implementation
- Represent the company at exhibitions, trade shows, and industry events
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective solution delivery

Ideal Candidate
- Experience in a Solution Engineer, Pre-Sales, Sales Engineer, or similar technical customer-facing role
- Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- Commercial awareness and interest in supporting sales activities
- Comfortable engaging directly with customers and stakeholders
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand product applications and integrations
- Engineering or technical background preferred
- Experience with fire safety products or systems is advantageous
- Experience supporting international customers is beneficial
- Additional language skills such as Arabic, Swedish, or Japanese are advantageous
- Full UK driving licence required

Conditions
- Location: Surrey, UK
- Working Style: hybrid (following successful completion of probation, minimum three days in office per week)
- Salary: around £40,000 per annum depending on experience
- Job Type: permanent, full-time
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00-16:00
- Start: ASAP
- Benefits: 28 days' holiday including bank holidays during 2026, 31 days' holiday including bank holidays from 2027, company pension scheme, full product training provided
