About Us

PingCo is a SaaS provider that enables large telecommunications companies and service providers to manage and sell voice services to their customers. Established in 2011, PingCo works internationally with global carriers, managed service providers and technology partners.

Our automation platform, TCAP, connects telecommunications networks, operational systems and cloud communication platforms. It helps providers automate complex processes, reduce deployment time and launch scalable voice services, including Microsoft Operator Connect and Teams Phone Mobile.

PingCo is expanding its global commercial and technical capability to support significant customer opportunities across Tier 1 carriers, managed service providers and platform partners.

Title: Solutions Engineering Lead

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead solution engineering across PingCo’s customer opportunities, ensuring proposed solutions are technically sound, scalable and commercially viable.
  • Analyse customer and business requirements and translate them into practical solution designs using PingCo’s platform and capabilities.
  • Lead solution architecture for strategic and complex opportunities involving Tier 1 carriers, managed service providers and platform partners.
  • Work closely with the Sales team throughout the sales cycle, providing technical expertise during discovery, demonstrations, proposals and customer presentations.
  • Lead customer facing technical workshops and solution sessions, translating complex requirements into clear solution concepts and implementation approaches.
  • Own and continuously improve PingCo’s Solution Proposal and Estimation Process, known as SPEP, ensuring appropriate technical review and governance across customer opportunities.
  • Lead, mentor and develop a team of three Solution Engineers, allocating opportunities and maintaining consistent technical and customer engagement standards.
  • Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of the Solution Engineering team.
  • Personally lead the most strategic and technically complex customer opportunities while providing oversight across the wider team’s work.
  • Ensure proposed solutions meet performance, scalability, security and integration requirements, identifying technical risks before implementation.
  • Oversee solution design involving APIs, integrations, provisioning workflows, migrations and customer operating environments.
  • Maintain solution architecture standards, technical documentation, design templates, playbooks and best practices across PingCo solutions.
  • Ensure the technical and commercial integrity of proposals by balancing customer requirements with platform capability, delivery effort and commercial considerations.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Product Officer to ensure customer requirements and solution priorities inform PingCo’s product roadmap.
  • Work closely with the Chief Engineer and Engineering teams to validate technical feasibility, performance and deployment readiness.
  • Provide structured feedback from customer engagements and delivered solutions into Product and Engineering planning.
  • Develop reusable demonstrations, solution assets and technical materials to improve the consistency and efficiency of customer engagements.
  • Evaluate delivered solutions and customer feedback to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 7+ years’ experience in Solutions Engineering, Solution Architecture, Presales Engineering or a similar customer facing technical role.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and integrating complex solutions for telecommunications operators, managed service providers or enterprise technology customers.
  • Strong telecommunications industry experience, preferably involving voice, UCaaS, carrier automation, Microsoft Teams Phone or related technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring or providing technical direction to Solution Engineers, Solution Architects or similar technical professionals.
  • Strong understanding of APIs, system integrations, provisioning workflows and cloud based software environments.
  • Experience supporting complex customer opportunities from discovery and technical workshops through to solution design and implementation planning.
  • Ability to confidently lead technical workshops, demonstrations and solution discussions with technical teams, commercial stakeholders and senior executives.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to balance customer requirements, technical feasibility, scalability, delivery effort and margin.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong problem solving skills and the ability to identify technical risks, dependencies and design considerations early.
  • Experience developing reusable solution standards, technical documentation, templates and presales materials.
  • A hands-on and accountable leadership style, with the ability to work independently while collaborating across Sales, Product and Engineering.
  • High level of adaptability and initiative, with the ability to operate effectively in a growing global business.
  • A positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to delivering high quality work.
  • Willingness to travel for customer meetings, workshops and industry events when required.
