Senior Manager – Tech Solutioning Sales (UK)
Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Senior Manager to drive growth for Merit in the UK, EU & US market. The role will focus on solution and consulting-led sales across our AI-led data solutions offerings that covers Data Harvesting and Aggregation, Data Engineering, Legacy Modernization & Digital Transformations and AI Led Automations. You will engage with both enterprise clients across industries as well as SME and mid-market clients looking to have Data & AI solutions to modernise data and / or leverage AI to transform operations.
As part of an established and experienced sales team, you will play a pivotal role in identifying opportunities, shaping client conversations, and closing high-value consulting and technology services engagements.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the full business development lifecycle from lead identification and qualification through to negotiation, contracting, and invoicing.
- Consistently meet or exceed sales and revenue growth targets in line with Merit’s Sales and Growth strategy.
- Generate recurring revenue contracts and build long-term client partnerships.
- Maintain an active CRM pipeline with accurate forecasting and disciplined updates.
- Conduct solution-focused client engagement – listening to client needs, identifying challenges, and presenting tailored data and AI-led solutions.
- Collaborate with internal delivery, consulting, and technical teams to design compelling proposals and RFP responses.
- Drive research and lead generation efforts, ensuring strong outreach to target sectors by collaborating with the Inside Sales team.
- Build trusted relationships with clients through consistent, value-driven interactions (in person, virtual, and written).
- Contribute actively to sales team strategy sessions, pipeline reviews, and go-to-market planning.

We’re looking for!
The ideal candidate will be a results-driven sales Lead with a strong track record in consultative IT and data/AI services sales. You will bring:
- 6+ years of experience selling software (Data & AI solutioning) services, solutions or consulting engagements.
- Demonstrable expertise in solution or consulting-led selling, in areas such as:
- Data solutions including Data Harvesting and Aggregation, Data engineering and modernisation (data migration, cloud, integration, governance, analytics platforms).
- AI-led end to end automations (Gen AI, Agentic Workflows)
- Legacy modernisation and digital transformation projects.
- Strong experience in responding to RFPs, shaping proposals, and collaborating with technical teams to win competitive tenders.
- A proven track record of independently driving new business revenue with enterprise and/or mid-market clients.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value for clients.
- Work closely with Inside Sales and Pre-Sales teams to provide guidance, feedback and market inputs that help identify, develop and qualify high-potential leads.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong customer-centric mindset, with the ability to uncover client needs and create value-driven solutions.
- Proficiency with CRM and sales productivity tools; disciplined in pipeline and sales management.
- A proactive, self-starting attitude with the resilience to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior hands-on experience as a software developer, technical BA, or technical project manager is advantageous but not essential.
