About The Role

The Analyst, Business Systems at TransUnion plays a vital role within the UK Decision Services team, which specializes in delivering software solutions that assist banks, building societies, retailers, and other clients in assessing credit risk and making data-driven lending decisions. This hybrid position involves a mix of virtual and in-office work, requiring the candidate to be adaptable and proactive in managing responsibilities both remotely and on-site at an assigned TransUnion office location at least two days per week. Reporting to the Manager, Technical Consultant, the successful candidate will support the design, configuration, and implementation of decisioning software solutions that meet client requirements, ensuring high standards of quality and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of credit risk technology, collaborating with cross-functional teams, clients, and third-party partners to deliver impactful solutions. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a combination of educational background and industry experience, including:

  • Higher education degree in Science, Mathematics, Technology, Business, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Proven experience working in a professional software development environment, with exposure to project delivery in both virtual and in-person team settings.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with clients, colleagues, and third-party suppliers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, capable of identifying root causes and implementing sustainable solutions.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Technical skills required include proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, C, Lua, and familiarity with testing tools like SOAP UI. Experience in software configuration and a basic understanding of finance, credit risk strategies, and lending products are advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Solutions Consultants in designing and delivering high-quality software solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Configure decisioning software within TransUnion's platform to align with business requirements, adhering to best practices and standards.
  • Perform unit testing and support the testing team during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and other testing phases to ensure quality and functionality.
  • Contribute to comprehensive business, functional, and technical documentation throughout all project stages.
  • Participate in project meetings with internal teams, clients, and third-party partners to facilitate clear communication and alignment.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress to the Project Manager, Solutions Delivery Manager, or Team Lead.
  • Support the implementation of solutions, resolve issues, process change requests, and assist with post-production activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve delivery and post-live issues, escalating as necessary to ensure minimal disruption.
  • Collaborate with Decision Services and other cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Adhere to and support the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes used within TransUnion to maintain consistency and quality.
