Senior Solutions / Cloud Architect - Contract - GCP, Python, CI/CD, Architecture
Oliver Bernard are currently working with an established InsurTech client of ours, based out of London, who are looking to take on a Senior Solutions / Cloud Architect to take ownership over a project focused on the build of an entire new platform across the business.
The incoming profile will need to be a seasoned contractor, and have a wealth of experience designing, building, and operating modern event-driven platforms (specifically GCP from a Cloud perspective), and be able to partner with engineering teams to drive the build out of this platform.

This role will offer autonomy when it comes to architectural decision making, allowing the contractor to be responsible for the practices and solutions implemented, and have ownership over how services are subsequently built out.
Requirements
To be suitable for this position, the following expertise is required:
- Extensive experience as a Solutions Architect (8-9+ years)
- Strong Cloud expertise, designing and scaling Cloud Architecture practices, specifically with GCP
- Software Engineering experience, ideally with a background using Python
- Hands-on experience across GCP Serverless technologies (e.g. Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Eventarc etc)
- Additional experience across CI/CD, IaC (Terraform), Monitoring and Security is a must have
- Prior experience leading on projects, and managing squads of engineers, is also a big bonus

Job Details
This role operates a flexible working model (just one office day per week), sits outside IR35 for an initial 6 month period, and can offer £700-800 per day for a profile ticking all the boxes.
